Al Lindner partners with Stearns Inc. to promote water safety and inflatable PFDs

St. Cloud, MN…Stearns, the industry leader of personal flotation devices (PFDs), has forged a partnership with fishing hall-of-fame angler and television fishing personality Al Lindner. Lindner will endorse Stearns Inflatable PFDs through several Stearns communications in 2003. These include print advertisements and point-of-sale displays. Look for the full-color print ads in leading boating and fishing publications; and in-store displays at Stearns’ major retailers.

Stearns offers a full line of belt-pack, vest and stole-style inflatable PFDs that activate automatically and/or manually with reliable CO2 inflation mechanisms. “These inflatables are perfect for fishing and boating,” said Lindner. “They’re so thin, lightweight and comfortable, you don’t even know you’re wearing one.”

In addition, Lindner will lend his reputation to “Rise To The Top,” a new public-service campaign that promotes water safety by encouraging boaters to wear their life jackets. Stearns Inc. is a founding sponsor of the Rise To The Top organization. A 2003 television public service announcement featuring Al Lindner is currently in development. According to Lindner, “it’s really special to think that I can play a part in saving someone’s life. That’s important to me.”
