Successful Farming for
Pheasants
PF, New Holland, Successful Farming, and Living
the Country Life Join Forces for Conservation
St. Paul,
Minn.
–
Pheasants Forever
(PF), New Holland tractors, Successful Farming, and
Living the Country Life magazines are joining forces
to help educate more farmers, ranchers, and landowners about
the importance of protecting, restoring, and enhancing
wildlife habitat through conservation and wise land
management.
This unique new partnership will
consist of a series of conservation articles in
Successful Farming (442,000 national circulation), its
sister publication Living the Country Life (200,000
national circulation), and the Pheasants Forever Journal
of Upland Conservation (100,000). The articles will
focus on the various aspects of wildlife habitat, the
benefits to landowners, and the process of restoring
marginal land to wildlife habitat.
New
Holland is sponsoring the article
series in all three publications. Likewise, New Holland has
joined Pheasants Forever’s National Pheasant Fest 2005 as a
sponsor of the event. National Pheasant Fest 2005 will be
held in Omaha, Nebraska this January 14, 15, & 16, 2005.
“Conservation education is a key
step to putting new wildlife habitat in the ground,” said
Joe Duggan, PF VP of corporate relations and marketing.
“Pheasants Forever has always prided itself in working
locally with farmers and ranchers to do what’s right for
habitat, while also helping them protect their livelihood.
This partnership brings some of those key concepts to a
national stage.”
Tom
Davis, publisher of Successful Farming and Living
the Country Life said, "Conservation has been a
cornerstone of Successful Farming for more than 102
years. Farm families are the original conservationists and
control much of the pheasant habitat in America. This
partnership benefits everyone, and we are proud to be
teaming up with New Holland and Pheasants Forever to help
farmers restore and develop wildlife habitat."
PF is a
non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the
protection and enhancement of pheasant and other wildlife
populations in North America through habitat improvement,
land management, public awareness, and education. Such
efforts benefit landowners and wildlife alike. PF has more
than 108,000 members in over 600 local chapters across the
continent.
