Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism proud to present the Faribault Bass Challenge

The Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, in an effort to showcase the 10 great fishing and boating lakes within a 10-mile radius of the city, will present the 1st Annual Faribault Bass Challenge on June 11.  The tournament will be on Cedar Lake which is considered one of the top bass fishing spots in Southern Minnesota.  The weigh-in will take place at LeMieux’s resort. 

The Faribault Bass Challenge will showcase 100 anglers in 50 teams of 2.  The top prize will be $2,000 with trophies.  The 2nd place price will be $1250 with trophies, 3rd place is $750 with trophies, 4th place is $500 with trophies and 5th place is $250 with trophies.  There will even be a biggest fish prize of $500 and a drawing for a $900 all inclusive Canadian fishing trip. 

Kymn Anderson, President of the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce said, “Faribault has a long history of being an excellent area for fishing and outdoor activities.  We are proud to say we hosted a Governor’s fishing opener in 1985 and have some of the finest resorts and camping in southern Minnesota.  The Faribault Bass Challenge will once again add to a tradition of what our area and what Minnesota is all about.”
