James Linder Induced into the National Freshwater Hall of Fame

Marking the first time three members of the same family have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

June, 2007 Brainerd, MN—James Lindner is being inducted into the 2007 National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Communicator for his significant and lasting contributions to freshwater angling.  This award is the highest honor that can be bestowed on someone in the sport fishing community and came as a result of the prestigious National Awards Committee’s wide-ranging search for deserving individuals.

"James’ induction into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame is very special,” stated Emmett A. Brown, Executive Director of the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.  “Not only for James’ accomplishments, but it marks the first time that 3 family members will have their induction portraits hanging in our Hall of Honor which already include Ron and Al Lindner.  There have been a few husbands and wives and a few fathers and sons.  We have even inducted a few brothers.  Never before, however, have a father, a son and an uncle been so honored. Certainly, the Lindner name is synonymous with excellence in the sportfishing community."
 
Currently, James Lindner is at the helm of Lindner Media Productions which specializes in producing educational and entertaining fishing programs, DVDs, videos, national TV commercials, product sales and point of purchase videos, as well as providing underwater photography to the sport fishing industry. Prior to this, James Lindner was the Executive Producer and Director of the In-Fisherman Communications Network television department for over twenty years.  James is a life-long fishing enthusiast whose programs have inspired and motivating anglers across the country.

James and his team have developed and refined a successful formula for educating and entertaining at the same time. In doing so, they have earned over 50 Film, video and commercial awards including North American Film and Outdoor Writers Association of America Awards, Cable Ace nominations, and Telly and Teddy Awards.  James Lindner was also honored as the 2003 Rapala Angler of the Year.
 
Lindner Media Productions also films, edits and produces a number of outdoor television series including Lindner’s Angling Edge, Lindner’s Fishing Edge, Glorvigan’s Pro’s Pointers,  and FLW Bass Series and FLW Walleye Series.  James serves as co-host of the nationally renowned televison show Lindner’s Angling Edge and Lindner’s Fishing Edge airing nationwide.
