| A vacation at Fair Hills Resort is a lot
like a visit to an old friend: warm, familiar, comfortable and
enjoyable. In fact, Fair Hills may be the most lively, entertaining, yet
relaxing resort you have ever encountered. The operative words are active
and family. From dawn Îtil dusk, there's always something going on that's
sure to please every member of your group.
A Large Resort With a Small Resort Atmosphere Fair Hills has an intimate, personal feeling. It begins with the warm welcome you receive from the Kaldahl family when you arrive. That feeling continues throughout your stay. The spirit at Fair Hills personifies a time when your worries were little and your main objective was to have fun; your childhood. Guests of all ages will find a memory that they can take home from Fair Hills. People come back to Fair Hills because the experience lasts far longer than their vacation. Ask a past guest why they return year-after-year, and they will probably tell you Fair Hills offers a wonderful family atmosphere. It's a place where the family can spend time together and really enjoy it; the last chance to experience an old-fashioned vacation where the air and water are clean; where you never have to dress up; and memories last the whole year long. Visit our web site at: www.fairhillsresort.com Recreation At Fair Hills Resort, activities abound! The entire day can be filled with games, family fun and the vacation lifestyle of a classic northwoods summer camp. Children, age 4-8, will love the safe, fun times they’ll have on a pony ride. Kids age 8-14 enjoy the water slide, torpedo rides, water Olympics and boat rides, while older teens and adults participate in tennis, golf, volleyball and more. All of the activities are free for the entire family. You’ll probably have to come back several times just to try them all!
Waterskiing/Wakeboarding Two of the popular activities are waterskiing and wakeboarding. There is an excellent instructor on staff who has taught people from ages two to 72. There is no charge for the professional instruction during our Sport Weeks, June 14-August 30. The kiddie pool, right next to it, affords adults a chance to watch their own children enjoy a safe time in the water. Our 15 person jacuzzi allows time for adults to wind down after a hard day of play. On Land

Children's Playground Game Room Additional Activities: Lodgings With 100 units of different shape, size and variety, Fair Hills is large enough to offer a wide range of accommodation and vacation options. All receive daily maid service. Most of our rates are per person — so it will not matter what cabin we can fit you in. We try to accommodate any requests pertaining to location on the resort. For those looking for a One Meal Plan or Housekeeping, we have 11 cabins to choose from. The resort map displays the layout of Wildflower Golf Course and Fair Hills Resort. It takes about a minute to load. After it comes up you will be able to move around the resort and click on areas of interest. American Plan Units Fair Hills Resort's American Plan lodgings are of two varieties: 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedroom cabins and motel-type units. All are designed in a traditional northwoods cabin architecture, located either lakeside or hillside. Though remodeled over the years, some of the cabins’ history dates back to the very beginnings of the resort. Units available under the American Plan are furnished similar to a motel - there is no kitchen area with stove, refrigerator or dishes. Under the American Plan, people eat three meals each day in the Dining Room. Meals are included in the American Plan rates on a per person, per day basis. Gathering in the Dining Room three times a day creates a family togetherness that is often lacking from our busy everyday lives. One Meal and Housekeeping Plan Units For people who prefer to stay on either of these plans, Fair Hills offers eight cabins equipped with full kitchens including utensils, stoves and refrigerators. Some also feature a fireplace, dishwasher and deck. Two cabins accommodate groups of up to 12 persons. One cabin will comfortably house up to five persons, two cabins accommodate up to four persons, and three cabins will house up to two persons. One Meal Plan and Housekeeping cabins are also available on the American Plan. Dining Over the years, Fair Hills Resort has observed that a family sharing a good meal together is a prime ingredient for a happier vacation. So, great food, and plenty of it, is found at each Fair Hills meal.
For those in American Plan cabins, your meals are included in your weekly or daily rate. For those on the One Meal Plan, one meal per day is included in your rate. Most of our guests choose the dinner meal for their one meal. Those on the Housekeeping Plan are on a "per cabin" rate and receive no meals. If you would like to have a meal with us, please let us know 1 day in advance. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Breakfast always offers choices of fruit or juice, pancakes, French toast, and any style of eggs, along with bacon or sausage. Lunch is a lighter fare and includes a choice of three delectable items. Lunch and dinner are accompanied by homemade bread and rolls from our own bakery, as well as soups and salads. Scrumptious, homemade desserts and pastries tempt you to indulge yourself just a wee bit more. Dinner includes entrees like Minnesota's famed Walleye, sirloin steak, shrimp or prime rib. Our Famous Smorgasbord The Tuesday night buffet serves a spectacular array of food and is one of the most popular features of the week. A brunch is served on Saturday mornings for guests before they have to say good-bye. Meal Time One of the most charming parts of mealtimes is the way they're signaled. A bell sounds at the main lodge, echoing throughout the resort the call to breakfast, lunch and dinner the same way it has been done for generations. Meal hours are 8-9 a.m. for breakfast, 12-1 p.m. for lunch, and 5:30-7 p.m. for dinner. Saturday brunch is served from 8-9:30 a.m. A complimentary Continental breakfast for those on the American Plan is also served in the Lobby each morning between 7-11 a.m. Fair Hills Resort Visit our web site at: www.fairhillsresort.com |
