STORM Explodes With Soft Plastic Lures
Five new series of soft plastic lures to hit stores in 2002

Minnetonka, Minn. – Over the years, StormÔ Lures have developed a highly regarded reputation for developing some of the dang-best, fish bustin’ lures around.  This year, Storm, known for popular hard lures such as the Wiggle WartÒ, Hot ‘N TotÒ, Chug BugÒ, ThunderCrankÒ and ThunderStickÒ, steps up the pace by introducing five new series of soft-bodied lures for 2002.

“Storm is a well-known, national brand of quality fishing lures. The Storm brand has a young and edgy attitude – which is perfect for the soft plastics category,” said Tom Mackin, vice president of marketing for Storm.  “Storm is making a huge step into soft plastics with these new lines.”

Wildeye  (Saltwater and Freshwater)

Three saltwater and three freshwater versions make up Storm’s Wildeye series of soft plastic lures, all developed with crazy 3-D prism eyes.

For saltwater use, the Paddletail Minnow comes in two sizes (5 and 6 inches), both with an internal lead head with soft body surrounding.  The Paddletail Minnow features natural-looking patterns enhanced with a holographic swimming image foil.  Hand-poured, with bio salt impregnated tail, the Paddletail Minnow comes in six patterns (Mullet, Pinfish, Croaker, Sardine, Redhead and Golden Mullet).

The Hair Jig is another saltwater soft plastic lure from Storm, coming in four sizes (1/2 oz., 3/8 oz., ¾ oz., and 1 oz.) and six colors (Red Back/White Bottom, Chartreuse Back/White Bottom, Green Back/Yellow Bottom, Hot Pink Back/White Bottom, Blue Back/Pink Bottom, and Black Back/Gray Middle/White Bottom).  Hand-poured with a combination of hair and milar, the Hair Jig has an internal lead head with a soft body.

Also for saltwater is the Hair Squid, coming in four sizes (1/2 oz., 3/8 oz., ¾ oz., 1 oz.) and six patterns (Red/White, Green/Yellow, Blue/White, Yellow/White, Pink/White, and White/White).  Hand-poured with a 3-D prism eye in the rear, it also has a combination of hair and milar, with an internal lead head with a soft body surrounding.

All of Storm’s saltwater lures come with VMC stainless steel hooks.

For freshwater, the Curltail Minnow will do the trick, coming in two sizes (3- and 4-inches) and six patterns (Shinner, Blue Shinner, Pearl, Shinner Chartreuse/Silver, Perch, and Bluegill.  Hand-poured with a bio salt impregnated tail, the naturalistic patterns imitate bait fish, featuring holographic swimming image foil.
