Fiberglass - "Gorilla Hull"
Al Drewett of Toledo Fiberglass has been
experimenting for the past ten years with exterior hull coatings. He has wanted to come up
with an economical alternative to reinforce an aging or weak hull, while maintaining an
attractive appearance. This has led to the development of the "Gorilla Hull".
Advantages:
Exceptionally durable, carries a lifetime warranty against impact with stumps.
The solid color gel is easily matched or touched up.
Allows you to fish anywhere your motor can push your boat without fear or damage
to the hull.
Appearance:
The outside finished appearance is similar to that of a golf ball or vinyl texture. The
finish is also similar to the finish used on the old allison Craft racing boats. A solid
matching, or contrasting color, is used in place of metal flake colors at the customers
discretion. The "Gorilla Hull" and finish color are blended at the base
of the sides, bottom finish at the bow to keep the finish and appearance as appealing as
possible.
