When I was up at Caney Lake Spillway
Marina Terry told me he had one of his fisherman had just caught 5 fish for a total of
43#. The Bass seem to be in the deep water and deep diving crankbaits work best
(silver/black). They have been catching some Perch on shiners out in the deep water also.

Cricket, up at Boones Grocery & Bait in Gilbert, did
not have much to report this time. She had heard that they were catching Perch over on
Bayou Macon. Her duck hunters seemed to have a good finish to the duck season. Stop in and
get your bait and supplies at Boones. Be sure to let Cricket know what is going on
in the area and get your photoís up on their "Braggin Board".
I stopped by Mikes Gun Shop in Winnsboro, and ol Mike
finally got out to do some hunting, so I did not get a chance to talk to him. While I was
there I ran into a couple of hunters already getting ready for Turkey season. They have
Turkey calls, decoys, camoís and shot shells. I met one fella who like me was looking at
their Predator Calls. He and I both saw several Coyotes while deer hunting this season.
