February 1999 SPORTSMAN’S PARADISE: Toledo Bend Harry over at Turtle Beach Lodge in Many tells us that the lake conditions mid lake are good. The water is starting to fall so the Bass are moving around right now. They have been catching them on jiggin spoons and orange ratt’l traps. Once the water warms up they should be moving to the grassy areas. Harry tells me he has been busy remodeling some of the cabins. If you are looking for a great place to stay and fish, give him a call. Ben and Mikki at Shady Oak Lodge have some terrific cabins if you are looking for a weekend get-a-way. They are right on Toledo Bend Lake and just down the road from the Cypress Bend Golf Club. Give them a call and book a cabin now. |
