As of the 1^st week in July, Steve at Backcast Fly Shop (231-882-5222) reports white fish still biting in Crystal Lake. Perch fishing good but seem to be on the small side. Upper & Lower Herring Lakes ardent fishermen are getting bass & a few walleye. Call the shop for a current fishing report,

As of the 1^st week of July, Tammy from the Tackle Box in Brethren reports skaminia are being caught at Tippy Dam along with a few steelhead & browns. As of the 1^st week of July, Gordon from Andy’s Tackle Box reports walleye fishing was excellent until the alewives moved in. This should slow the fishing down probably until the middle of July when the action should start again. Evening and night fishing has been better that day fishing.
