The Unadilla Store
(734‑498‑2400) reports decent fishing for ‘gills and crappie in
local waters, but the pike are just not warmed up yet. If you have
a picture from a successful fishing tip, leave it with them, and
they’ll make sure it gets in the Fish & Game Finder.
The
HideAWay Campground
(810-735-7666) is again having a fishing contest. The leading fish
at press time include: Bass - 6 pounds, 2 ounces, 23 inches; Pike
- 5.02 pounds, 29 1/4 inches; Crappie - 1.8 pounds, 14 inches; The
‘gills
are hitting and the carp have been rolling.
Fishermen and boaters,
listen‑up. There is a new kid on the block, practically in your
back yard. It’s Michigan Boatworks, serving Livingston,
Washtenaw, and Oakland Counties for over 8 years. You want to get
your boat /motor back in a reasonable amount of time, and at a
fair price? Then stop‑in and give them a try. You can talk
fishing with Jim, or repair and parts with Rick or John. Give them
a call at 810‑220‑0287. Tell them Fish & Game Finder sent you.
Vic and Bob's
(810‑229‑6845) has a fully stocked fishing department. They are
your headquarters for trips to either Bishop Lake or Chilson Pond.
The Bishop Lake State Park also has some smaller lakes stocked
with trout. Check with Bob and he can give you more details
Linden
Sports & Marina
(810-735-9936) will be hosting a lot of bass tournaments this
summer. If you would like to fish Lobdell Lake in one of them,
give the store a call to find out which tournaments still have
openings. If your club would like to have a tournament on Lobdell,
Linden Sports & Marina can help you there too.
Scott at Midwest Sport
Shop (810‑227‑3141) reported good fishing all around. Bass are
hitting plastic worms, spinner baits, live minnows and crawlers on
Woodland, Chemung, Crooked, Kent, Whitmore, and Indian Lakes along
with the Huron Chain. Good pan fishing is taking place on
Woodland, Chemung, Crooked, Appleton, Bishop, Indian and Whitmore
Lakes. Crickets, leaf worms, minnows, Beetle Spins, popers and
flies are the best baits. For walleye, head over to Brest Bay on
Lake Erie. For local fish, try Kent or the Huron Chain. Pike
fishing is slow with a few fish coming out of Crooked, Indian and
Kent Lakes. |
