tournament results: The Cadillac-Mitchell BBT Bass R US
Tournament 2003 Classic Qualifier, held on June 7, was
greeted with a cool overcast morning, a southern breeze and a few
sprinkles. 47 limits were brought to the scales, and 78 of the 99
registered boats weighed fish. A total of 311 bass were brought to
the scales for a total weight of 660.00 pounds. Congratulations to
Jim Horn & Terry Smith for the winning limit of fish weighing
15.74 pounds. They also had 2nd big bass weighing 3.92
lbs. Steve Theodore & Terry Geertman took second place with
15.02 pounds. Third place went to Todd and Mike Krikke with
14.56 pounds. Shawn Martinie & Doug DeRoo, weighing 4.35
pounds brought in the big bass of the tournament.
The 2nd
BBT Bass R US Tournament 2003 Classic Qualifier was
held on Grand River at Riverside Park on June 14. A beautiful
morning greeted the 92 teams. Fishing however proved to be a real
challenge for many with only 22 limits. A total of 66 teams
brought 166 bass to the scales weighing 425.85 pounds.
Congratulations to Chris Vanhouten & Forrest Brown for the winning
limit of fish weighing 15.39 pounds. They also had 1st big bass
weighing 5.28 pounds. Norm Green took second place with 13.70
pounds. Jeff Homkes & Ken Dunn took 3rd place with
13.50 pounds. 2nd big bass went to Ben Neilson & Brad
Lyons weighing 4.76 pounds.
BBT
Bass R US Firecracker 100
held on June 28 at Riverside Park/Grand River: The weather
forecast was bleak, but the morning turned out to be great for
fishing, with the storms holding off until the afternoon. 16
limits were brought to the scales and 34 of the 43 registered
boats weighed fish. A total of 116 fish were brought to the scales
weighing 230.94 pounds. Congratulations to Kelly Geertman & Kyle
Borst for the winning limit of fish weighing 14.51 pounds, and
second big bass weighing 4.56 pounds.
Shawn
Martinie &Doug DeRoo took second place with 11.72 pounds. Third
place went to Mike Mortensen & Sherry Harnack with 11.20 pounds.
The Big bass of the tournament weighing 4.75 pounds was brought in
by Harv & Tom Vandeweg.
The 3rd
tournament will be held at White Lake/Municipal Launch on July 26.
The 4th tournament will be held at Muskegon Lake/Fisherman’s
Landing on August 2, followed by the last qualifier at Riverside
Park on August 16. The BBT 100 will be held on at Fisherman’s
