The Tackle Box in
Crystal 989-235-6413 will be having a kids fishing derby Aug. 2nd
from 7 a.m. to 12:00. Breakfast is provided along with prizes and
goodies. Limited to the first 30 kids to sign up. Check out the
Tacklebox’s bluegill lure that’s made right there in the shop, it
has proven to really catch the gills and can be shipped to you if
you can’t make it to Crystal.
Denise at
Gardner’s Quick Stop (989-235-6594) in Crystal reports that
the fishing and boating recreation on Crystal Lake has been
fabulous.
Tom Tyler
from Tom’s Western Store (800-830-5446) would like everyone
who is “Going to the Fair, a Fair Goer or Fair Showing” to stop by
and get all your necessary supplies.
Wayne at
Grand River Bait and Tackle (517-482-4461) expects fishing to
be great with lots of activity. Hawk Island Park
would be a
good place to look for good fishing. In late July or early August,
gills will have pretty much gone off the beds and will be in 12 to
16 feet of water, Wayne suggests going deep with crickets.
Schupbachs
(517-782-8418)reports the local deer herd looks good with many
bucks being spotted. Fall turkey season prospects are also great. |
