There are many rivers, streams and lakes to fish in Broome County. Whitney Reservoir is one of the best. Walleyes are being caught on jigs as well as perch. The Tioughnioga and Chenango Rivers are running fast and full making fishing difficult, however bullheads are biting in all the lakes and ponds, rivers and streams.

Down on the Susquehanna River, the bullhead are biting as well as the catfish, pike and walleyes. Tim Crispell who works at the Carp Corners Bait & Tackle Shop at 107 North St, Endicott tells me he has been catching northern pike in the Little Choconut Creek at the Goudy Power Station, where it flows into the Susquehanna River in Johnson City. Most of them run 18-24” however a short time ago he caught a 40” beauty. Out at the mouth is where they are catching walleyes.
