LAKE WILHELM FISHING REPORT
FROM NEW VERNON GUN SHOP
It
was good to see Nancy doing so well after her recent surgery. Bill
and Nancy at NEW VERNON GUN
SHOP reported crappies are being taken in Lake
Wilhelm using maggots and wax worms in early morning or late
evening in deeper water. Walleye are biting on nightcrawlers in
deep part of the lake. Stop
in and get the freshest live bait on the lake and the latest fishing conditions. (724)

Fergie
at M. K. GODDARD MARINA reported
some excellent bluegill and crappie fishing has been taking place
at Lake Wilhelm. Try
using split tails, curly tails, or artificial ants and tip them
with a grub. Bass anglers have been successful using top water
lures early in the morning or late in the evening. During the day
plastic worms and jig’n pig are working great for bass in the
creek channels. Fergie reported an angler brought in a beautiful
21.5 inch 6 pound 4 ounce largemouth. So stop in to see Fergie to
get the right bait and rent a pontoon boat for the day. (724)
