Paradise OutfittersParadise Outfitters hunts the game rich North fork of the Clearwater river in Idaho's Clearwater National forest. We conduct trophy hunts for elk and bear, with special emphasis on archery. Paradise Outfitters is a full service outfitting business. We offer fully guided as well as unguided hunts for elk and bear. We also offer summer fishing, photographic trips, and a professional guide and packer school. Hunting trips are packed in 13 miles on horseback into a totally road-less area called Paradise Creek. We hunt by horseback from our main camp, consisting of 5 large wall tents. We have a fulltime cook and packer in camp, so we can devote our full attention to the task at hand, which is getting you your game.

Deluxe Guided Elk Hunts

Elk HuntsThese hunts are conducted out of our deluxe hunting camp about a 3 hour horseback ride from our base camp-These hunts include a complete, furnished comfortable camp with bunks and foam pads, home cooked meals, experienced licensed guides, and gentle saddle horses daily as needed.

We offer 8 day hunts with a maximum number of six hunters in camp. Elk is our primary objective on these hunts. Hunters who fill their elk tags early and possess tags for other species can by agreement with his partner accompany him or hunt on his own for other species.

Drop Camp Elk Hunts

Elk Hunts These hunts are set up for the hunting party who prefers to do everything on their own. We pack you into our set up camp complete with cook and sleep tents , cooking and heating stoves , cooking equipment, lanterns, cut and split firewood, sleeping cots and foam pads.

No horses are left in camp. You provide your own provisions, sporting equipment, sleeping bag, and game bags. These hunts are of ten days duration. We need a minimum of 4 persons per party on these hunts.

Bear Hunts

Bear HuntsThese hunts are conducted in spring and fall. We run these hunts from a variety of camps, depending on the snow level.

We hunt bear over baits , by spotting and stalking, and calling. The guides normally do the cooking on the bear hunts because of the need for mobility.

We have a variety of color variations in our bear population, and have some very large bears taken each year. Bears in the 7 ft. range are possible. These hunts include everything that's included on the deluxe guided elk hunts. Bear hunts are 6 days.
