HUNTING PRESERVES & SPORTING CLAYS

Wild upland bird hunts can sometimes be rewarding. Sometimes you see a lot of rooster pheasants, and sometimes they are in range. But often, wild hunts are tough. And more than often, locating public land is even more challenging than the hunt itself. We are offering a solution. Private shooting preserves give you realistic terrain, plenty of birds, and permission to hunt. Try one this year! Where can you find seven hunting fields layered into 640 acres of prime upland bird cover? The answer is Big Rock Hunting Preserve in Wisconsin. And there are no state licenses or membership fees required to shoot pheasants, chukars, or quail. You can book full or half day hunts, and guides & dogs are available. Corporate and large groups are welcome. There is a large clubhouse, and even cabins available for multiple day hunts. Call and ask about FREE birds for youth hunters. Your party can even begin or end the day with their 20 station, 100 round sporting clays course. Isaacson's Pheasant Pharm & Hunting Ranch has built a new clubhouse. Shooters now have a great place to unwind following a day in the field, or after turning pigeons to powder on the sporting clays course. Try the popular Phur & Pheather, High Phlying Honkers, or Phlushing Grouse. And if you like to be challenged, their course record is 47 hits out of 50 clays. Basic pheasant packages are available in half or full day hunts. Other bird species can be released upon request. Also, state licenses are not required and there are no bag limits. Call ahead for reservations. Less than a 100 miles east of The Twin Cities, in the rural town of Chetek, Wisconsin lies 800 acres of upland bird infested terrain. Sioux Creek Hunting Club releases pheasants, chukars, and quail for member and non-member hunters year round. In addition to traditional field hunting, their facility offers a 30 station 3-D archery course and two 50 round sporting clays courses. Their open hours read: "Whenever we can get you to come out." But please call ahead for regular hours and days which require special booking. Sioux Creek caters to small and large groups. Two lodges are available with prior notice. And gourmet cookouts are often part of corporate hunts. Only 10 minutes north of St. Cloud rests H & R Shooting Preserve. Their fields encompass prime hunting cover. As a hunter, there are few sight lines better than legendary Laq Qui Parle in west central Minnesota.
